A very good read. It has changed my thinking on some tracks I ran with my Wirehaired Dachshund. Congratulations on another fine book. Recommended reading for all deer hunters. Young or old.

I have been hunting for 38 years and have unfortunately done my fair share of tracking wounded deer. I can honestly say that I have learned more about tracking in this 110 page book than I learned from all my previous tracking. Beyond my own experience, most of what I knew about blood tracking fell into the category of hunting lore. John Jeanneney has combined his considerable experience in tracking and his background as an educator to explain the science of finding wounded deer. Professional wildlife officers believe that over 10% of deer that are wounded and die are never recovered. "Dead On" is an important conservation tool that can decrease these wounding losses. As a Ohio hunter education instructor, I will be teaching these materials to my students this fall. This is a well written book that is full of hunting information not found anywhere else.

All hunters should have a copy. Great information to keep in every deer camp.
